KERB

KERB, with their distinctive contemporary rhythms and powerful storylines to their lyrics, have a unique sound all their own. They are set to release ‘The Safe House’ in 2006 – thanks to working with CENT, after playing together for eight years.

Ben Kench, lead singer and guitar; Clive Radford, guitar and bass; Jon Boyle, keyboard; and James Kench, guitar and backing vocals, have played three times at the Glastonbury Festival and featured at Ashton Court. They are in demand all over the UK, where the dark edge to their sound draws the crowds.

Clive Radford said: “CENT’s faith in helping find a producer and sending us to Sweden has made all the difference. It’s totally focussed us. Now we’re pushing the sound as far as we can, exploring textures and different devices, with the Swedish production team working creatively for us in a rolling process.

We’re a prolific band with a back catalogue of high-quality songs, and CENT has always had faith in us – and for us the whole thing is gathering pace. This has made us a lot more determined.”
